Innerwengen Chairlift - Wengen Skiing - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama from the top of the Innerwengen chairlift before the piste enters the forest. The final approach from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen is through trees, is very gentle and involves some polling. This picture was taken the day after some snow fall, there are low lying clouds hanging in the valley and the sun is low in the sky. Beautiful.

This chair forms a link between the Kleine Scheidegg ski area and Wengen itself. The top of the chairlift is just to the left of the sun, and you can see some skiers about to arrive. In the other direction Wengen lies further down the valley and the Allmend railway station is on the left. The train stops here on the way from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg Station. The station also has a small restaurant or cafe, which can be a good place to warm up. There is another restaurant at the bottom of the chairlift.
The long ridge to the northeast links the Tschuggen and Männlichen-Gipfel mountains. It is possible to ski all the way from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen along blue run 36, which passes by the top of Innerwnegen. The alternative is to follow either the black run 45 or red run 43 to the bottom of the chair and then join run 36 at the top for the last part. A toboggan run also descends from Kleine Scheidegg
During the summer months this station lies on the walking route from Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg
