HMS Ark Royal at Greenwich - Above the Bridge - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
It was really quite tight up here, there is not much room at all. However, the view down the River Thames was fantastic, especially with the bow end of the HMS Ark Royal in the foreground. It is one of the more unusual panoramic pictures I have had the opportunity to take.

One of the panoramic pictures of was taken at the very end of the HMS Ark Royal's flight deck, at the end of the black strip. This page also contains more information about the HMS Ark Royal itself.
The picture was taken while the HMS Ark Royal lay moored on the River Thames in London off Greenwich Pier as part of the National Falklands 25th Anniversary Commemorative events in June of 2007. There is a folded Merlin helicopter on the deck. This helicopter can be taken down below the flight deck on one of the huge lifts. This picture provides a unique view of Greenwich and the Isle of Dogs.
