Rogie Falls Park walk - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The contrasting light at this part of Rogie Falls made taking this panorama quite difficult. I wanted to pick out the contrast between the rocky outcrop and the area around which is boggy and covered in dense mosses.
Rogie Falls Park walk - FURTHER INFORMATION
Rogie Falls Park walk - Scottish Highlands visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Rogie Falls Park walk' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Highland.
Panorama from one of the walks in the park at Rogie Falls in the Scottish Highlands of Scotland.
This panoramic picture shows some of the boggy area in the park. There are two ways from the waterfall back up to car park. The first rises sharply from the falls through some woods and arrives at the east end of the carpark, next to a small tourist information display.
The second shown in this picture starts gently along a gully past this marshy point before the path ascends to the middle of the car park. This is perhaps the gentler route directly to the waterfall but it is well worth taking both paths as a circuit as the other path includes a viewpoint overlooking the length of the Falls, suspension bridge and salmon ladder.
Travel and Getting There
Take the A9 north of Inverness towards Dingwall, and then the A835 towards Ullapool. Rogie Falls is about 22 miles from Inverness, and about 10 miles from Dingwall. Exit the roundabout, which both routes to Dingwal from Inverness arrive at, taking the junction for Contin (marked for Ullapool) and this area is about ten minutes drive just past the turning for Loch Achilty and Little Scatwell.
