you can reach Llanddwyn island by coming from the Newborough warren. The warren is mainly dunes with marram grass. Cutting the grass that stabalizes the dunes is actually a capital offence after a law passed by Elizabeth I. Today it is a bird watchers' paradise and a few years ago it housed the second largest raven roost in the world with about 2000 birds. The numbers of ravens have fallen but with 800 ravens it is still one of the largest in the UK.
