Down 400 steps and over an iron foot bridge; that is the easy way to reach the little rocky island where the lighthouse is situated. Build in 1809 they first had to use a basket and some hemp rope to reach it. Then 30 years later they built the bridge.
On the left you can see Ellis tower where the bird watchers gather.
