Mariana Alcoforado was one of the religious of the Order of St. Clare, the Convent of the Conception of Beja, where currently works the Regional Museum in the city. Born in Beja was born April 22, 1640, went into the closure to 11 years, coming to be a teacher at 16. Concierge, Scribe and Vicar, were some of the positions who exercised during his long monastic life. Died on July 28, 1723.
