Bad Schlema is a small town in the Erzgebirgskreis district of Saxony in eastern Germany. It belongs to the Silberberg Town League (Städtebund Silberberg) and lies on the Silver Road (Silberstraße) close to the town of Schneeberg. It was formed by the amalgamation of Niederschlema, Oberschlema and Wildbach communities into one town. The whole region has a strong mining history, especially for iron, copper, silver and uranium mining. This industry has now passed away and Bad Schlema is developing a reputation oas a spa town surrounded by hills and mountains.

Some of the tourist attractions around Bad Schlema include:- Spa Baths - Bad Schlema has a new Kurhaus (spa house) with radon springs used daily by over 100o visitors.
- Hammerberg - hill next to Bad Schlema offering good views over the town and on which is the Biedenkopf memorial stone.
- Richard-Friedrich-Park - found near the spa in which is a memorial stone to the founder of the spa.
- Miners Memorial - plaque at the top of shaft 250 commemorating those who lost their lives in a uranium mining accident in 1995.
- St Wolfgangskirche - large late Gothic style church from the early Reformation period in nearby Schneeberg.
- Schneeberg Town Hall - neo-Gothic building built in the mid 19th century in Schneeberg.

Road: Bad Schlema is 35km southwest of Chemnitz and 120km from Dresden on the E40 and E441. It lies 15km north of Schwarzenberg 40km from Oberwiesenthal and the border with the Czech Republic.
