Mala Lanzarote Daylight - FURTHER INFORMATION

Mala Lanzarote Daylight - Lanzarote visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Mala Lanzarote Daylight' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Canary Islands.

The small, rural village of Mala lies near the eastern coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The village lies on a lava plain with hills to the east and clearly visible extinct volcano cones to the south. The coastline around Mala is rugged and dramatic, ideal for scuba diving and fishing with numerous underwater caverns. The hills around Mala rise to over 500m offering great walking, hand gliding and paragliding, especially around the Presa de Mala dam and Los Helechos.

Mala has a number of holiday apartments and villas that can be rented, making it an ideal base from which to explore the eastern side of Lanzarote, away from the main crowds. The focus here is eco-tourism in a laid back manner - the whole of Lanzarote has been declared a UNESCO Biosphere reserve.

Mala - Diving

The dive sites at Mala offer many underwater caverns and swim-throughs populated with many larger species such as angle sharks, morray eels and various kinds of rays. The waters are crystal clear and the underwater lava teaming with life.
