Also known as San Pancrazio, this is the larger of two islands close to Brissago and Ascona on Lake Maggiore.
It is famous for its botanical gardens which cover the whole island. A wide range of subtropical plants grow
here due to its particularly mild climate, and the island has become popular setting for wedding parties.
