Lyme Regis in winter - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This photograph was taken from what was was once known as 'Crab Head', on Victoria Pier, Lyme Regis.
The pier has since been extended eastwards, and together with the North Wall shown here with the three cannons, now protects the main harbour entrance.
Cobb Hamlet is behind the harbour, and the main town of Lyme Regis is to the right of the beach huts.
The Jurassic coastline leads off into the distance with the seaside town of Charmouth, then Golden Cap and the sandstone cliffs of Burton Bradstock.
