Ironbridge Rowing Club on the River Severn as it flows past Coalbrookdale through the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire. On the far bank are the characteristic pink cooling towers of Ironbridge Power Station at Buildwas. Until recently, coal supplies arrived via the Albert Edward Bridge, also shown. Because of inefficiency and the pollution caused, the power station will close in 2015.
