Inverness Footbridge - FURTHER INFORMATION

This footbridge is the last footbridge over the River Ness in Inverness. It is a suspension bridge linking Huntly Street with Bank Street and is very popular with pedestrians crossing the river. The bridge has a natural bounce to it caused by footfall. There are good views of this part of Inverness from the middle of the bridge, and the skyline is dominated by church spires. On Bank Street is Old High St Stephen's Church and the Free Church. On the other side is St Marys RC Church. These are often open to the public. Another panorama shows the footbridge on a sunny day.
Numerous companies offer boat trips along the River Ness and Loch Ness. The Loch Ness Express runs daily services down the entire length of Loch Ness from Inverness allowing a hop-on, hop-off service at at Foyers, Inverfarigaig and Urquhart Castle. Other cruise and boat operators in the region include Inverness Dolphin Cruise and Loch Ness Cruises, Jacobite Cruises and Highland Voyages.
