The North Wall of the Cobb in Winter - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The North Wall is an isolated section of 17th century sea wall, which together with Victoria Pier and the Cobb encloses the main harbour of Lyme Regis.
The three cannons on the wall were excavated in 1974 and date from 1601 to 1614. They were last used in 1690 against the French Admiral Tourville.
