This small beach lies at the eastern end of Lyme Regis also known as Long Entry. From here it is possible at low tide only, to walk along the beach as far as Charmouth and on to Golden Cap which can be seen in the distance.
The dark cliff to the right of the sea wall is known as East Cliff, which is the site of Mary Anning's ichthyosaur find 200 years ago in 1811, and still a source of frequent fossil finds.
