Long Entry at Lyme Regis - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This is the eastern end of the promenade at Lyme Regis.
From here is is possible at low tide only, to walk along the beach to Charmouth, the next resort on this famous Jurassic coastline.
The limestone cliffs are known as East Cliff and are where the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning, discovered an ichthyosaur fossil 200 years ago in 1811.
