Colosseum - West End - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
360 panorama taken from inside the Colosseum (Colosseo) in Rome. This panoramic photograph was taken from the viewing platform at the west end of the Colosseum looking over the arena.
Taking panoramas of the most popular tourist attractions in the world is not easy. Especially when you want to avoid it being full of people! This was the case with the Colosseum, and waiting for the right moments meant I had about 30 minutes to ponder the past goings on in this massive space.
Colosseum - West End - FURTHER INFORMATION
Colosseum - West End - Rome visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Colosseum - West End' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Roma.
This picture shows the passageways and rooms beneath the arena of the Colosseum (Colosseo) in Rome that held the gladiators and animals waiting to enter the arena. This is one of the top tourist attractions in Rome.
At the far end the partially refurbished arena floor. There is another panorama from the east end of the Colosseum. The emperors seat would have been to the right of this point, about half way around the arena. This is one of a series of pictures and images taken from inside and around the Colosseum, one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world. For more information about the history of the Colosseum, please see the Main Colosseum Panorama.
