Central Pier is the central ferry hub for Star Ferries serving Kowloon and many of the surrounding islands in Hong Kong. Over 70,000 passengers a day pass through this port travelling across Victoria Harbour. At night, the open area at the top of the terminal gives a pretty good viewing platform to see the skyscrapers lit up.

Better views of the Hong Kong Island skyline at night are gained from the terraces by the Clock Tower and Hong Kong Cultural Centre on Kowloon, close to the Star ferry terminal on that side.
