Malostranske namesti - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panoramic picture really shows the facade of sv Mikulas, the most prominent of Malostranske namesti for those passing through. The church took about 50 years to build, and then the Jesuit occupants were kicked out of Prague by the Habsburgs about 20 years later.

Panorama from Malonstranské námĕstí in the Little Quarter (Malá Strana, sometimes also called the 'Lesser Qarter') of Prague. This square is dominated by the church of sv Mikuláš, which often holds Mozart concerts in memory of the time he played here and whose massive facade faces the east side of the square. Most people simply pass through the square on the way to Prague Castle. There are numerous pleasant cafés and restaurants around the area.
As well as the sv Mikuláš, the entire west side of the square is taken up by the Lichtenštejnský palác. This is home to the university's music facility and also has a concert venue, art gallery and cafés.
