Kahalu'u Bay has a great beach park, as can be seen in this panorama. While it does not have a large sandy beach, it is a good place for snorkeling and swimming with the sea turtles browsing off the seaweed growing on the rocks. It has numerous hotels, apartments and holiday places nearby and is just south of the shopping in Kailua.

Travel and Getting There:
From Kailua-Kona take Alii Drive south. Kahaluu Beach Park is about 4 miles south of Kailua-Kona. From The I-11 (Kuakini Highway) take the Kamehameha III Road Alii Drive and then head north towards Kailua-Kona.
