Bay Beach is found just south of Stanley Park on in the West End of Vancouver. Around the bay runs English Bay Beach, which is very popular on sunny days. Local activities include kayaking, and paddle boarding and various places hire equipment and provide lessons. There is usually a life guard in attendance and in the bay a slide on a pontoon.

Just behind the beach is Morton Park (Triangle) on which stands the A-maze-ing Laughter (SHI XIANG SHENG) sculpture which has become a popular tourist attraction. Also close are restaurants and shops on Denman St and Davie St. Along the back of the beach are separate walkways and cycle / rollerblading paths.
