Throne Room - Queluz visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Throne Room' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Distrito Lisboa.
The Throne Room, designed by the architect Jean-Baptiste Robillion and sculptor Silvestre Faria Lobo was constructed to justify the creation of a large space destined to the official audience. Over the white ceiling stand out delicate golden frames and motives, with filleting and tendrils, the French taste. The paintings on the ceiling, representing Faith, the Sun, Hope, on the South Top, and the War, Justice and Charity, on the north Top, were done under the direction of the painter João de Freitas Leitão.
Nowadays, the Throne Room is the scene of official banquets and concerts promoted by some entities.
