The town is lined with hotels, holiday apartments, bars and clubs. It is within easy striking distance of Kona International Airport and has numerous beaches nearby.

Travel and Getting There:
From Kona International Airport take the I-18 south 6 miles to Kailua-Kona. At Kailua-Kona, the I-18 becomes the I-11 which continues south and round Hawaii past Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and onto Hilo on the east side. This journey takes several hours.
