Panorama of Magic Sands Beach (Disappearing Sands, La'aloa Bay Beach or White Sands Beach) in Kailua-Kona. During high seas, when the surf and waves are high, the waters are too dangerous to swim in and the sand can get swept away revealing the black lava floor. The beach is recommended for snorkeling and has a number of rocky caves.

Travel and Getting There:
Magic Sands Beach is on Alii Drive, just south of Holualoa Bay, and north of Kahalu'u Bay and Keauhou Bay.
