Found next to Hotel Interlaken in Interlaken, the Japanese Gardens were laid out, complete with pavilion and lakes to celebrate the close friendship between Interlaken and Japan, especially Otsu with which Interlaken is twinned. This is one of the tourist attractions of the town.

Interlaken istself is a small tourist town that lies between two large lakes, Lake Thun and Lake Brienzer, Thuner See and Brienzer See. Interlaken has two train stations West, Interlaken West Station and East, that connect to Main Street, Hoheweg.
