Santa Cruz Church - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The Santa Cruz Church has started its construction in 1514, on the initiative of King D. Manuel I, at the request of the inhabitants the Batalha village and its conclusion in 1532, date inscribed on the portal page. In 1858 there was an earthquake that made the wooden ceiling collapse, having been restored in 1908. The architectural style predominant is the Manueline although they are noted, also the Baroque and Revivalist styles.
