This panorama was taken perched on a rock looking down the valley in which Pou de sa Coma within Tossal Verds is found. It was taken in September 2012, when the terrain is probably at its driest. To the north rises the peak of Puig de Tossals Verds and hiking paths lead from here to the top.

Puig de Tossals Verds is the dominant peak in the Tossals Verds region of Mallorca. Rising to about 1115m, it is the third highest peak in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and a popular walking destination. From the top there are stunning views of this UNESCO World Heritage region, rich in rare wildlife and historic sites. Other walks circle round the mountain, passing through several tunnels on the way, so a torch is required. En route, hikers pass Pou de sa Coma and a series of ancient, rural mountain buildings at Ses Cases Velles.

Starting points for walks around Tossals Verds include the small car park at Clot d'Almadra to the south via the Refugi des Tossals Verds or the car park to the north east of the Cuber Reservoir to the west. Both walks take about 4-5 hours to complete.

Car: The entrance to Tossals Verds park is about 11km from Alaro on the Ma-2210 and then a country lane which becomes an unpaved path ending at a small car park at Clot d'Almdra. It is 13.5Km from Inca on the Ma-13A, Ma-2110 and then country lane.
Walk: Refugi des Tossals Verds is about a hour walk from the car park. It is about 9 hours walk from Muleta (GR-221 Stage 6) and 5 hours from Son Amer (GR-221 Stage 7).
