Nanuku Inlet Point - Mauna Lani Resort - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Thankfully, the lava flow in Naniki Inlet just in front of the Mauna Lani Hotel was not covered in seaweed, so it was not too difficult to make my way out to take this panoramic picture looking back at the resort. If you view the satellite image, the hotel looks a bit like a Klingon warship from above.

Panorama of Nanuku Inlet beach at the Mauna Lani Resort at Kalahuipua'a. This panoramic picture was taken in front of the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows on an ancient lava flow that formed the northern edge of Nanuku Inlet. You can see the pointed, stepped front of the hotel behind the trees.
Behind Nanuku Inlet is the Waipuhi Pond, one of the ancient fishponds in the resort. For further information on the ancient fishponds, see the Kalahuipua'a Fishpond Panorama, which is just to the left of Nanuku Inlet behind Keawanui Bay.
