This beach was the last panorama of the day before heading back to Kailua-Kona. So what do you do as the sun is slowly setting? Well, strip down to shorts, and hope that no-one is going to walk off with your stuff while you go for a quick swim and float a little to relax in the still waters. You can tell from this picture that I had not yet come to terms with taking account of the waves breaking against the shore.

Panorama of beach at the Beach Club of the Mauna Lani Resort at Kalahuipua'a. This beach lies between Honokaope Bay and Keawanui Bay at the end of the Kalahuipua'a Fishpond. Next to the beach is a spring fec pool that used to be a bathing pool in the 1920's. Now it is filled with opae'ula shrimp and not open to the public.

Travel and Getting There:
Take Highway 19 north from Kailua-Kona toward the Kohala Resort Area. Turn left into the resort between the 74 and 73 Mile Stones.
