Panorama from a lookout and viewpoint on the H-11 just east of the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates. This lookout is sited on a 1907 a'a lava flow from the Alika Cone. The most recent flows from this cone were in the 1950's. The viewpoint is just west of the junction to South Point, about 13 miles from Naalehu. The lava here is very different to the 1886 pahoehoe lava flow a little further east.

Follow the I-11 south from Kailua-Kona or west from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
