South Kensington tube an important station in London serving some of the most popular museums and tourist attractions in the city. It is the main arrival point for those visiting the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and V&A Museum as well as giving access to the numerous shops, restaurants and hotels in the South Kensington area. Also nearby are the Brompton Oratory and Holy Trinity Brompton churches as well as Harrods and other shops in Knightsbridge.South Kensington tube is also the nearest tube station to the Royal Albert Hall as well as the Albert Memorial and Diana Memorial Fountain and Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park.
South Kensington Tube station opened in 1868.
