St. Levan Church - Inside - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

Panorama inside the church of St Levan. There is not a lot of information about this tiny church. It was a quiet place to rest and reflect on things for a short time. I loved the simple interior, but bet it gets cold here in the winter.

St Levan (Cornish: Sen Selevan) is a small village in Cornwall. The church is named after a sixth century monk who lived in the area. St Levan church and the Baptistry are beside the footpath leading from the road to Porthchapel Beach. The stone chapel dates from the 15C. This panoramic photograph shows the interior of the church with the granite walls and arches covered in white plaster and wooden pews.

To get to St Levan from Penzance, take the A30 towards Lands End, and then the B3283 at Cathall towards Treen. The turning for St. Levan is just past Treen, near to Trethewey. An alternative route is to take the B3315 road from Penzance to Treen.
