Panorama of Carbis Bay beach, which is owned by the Carbis Bay Hotel, situated close to St. Ives on the North coast of Cornwall. Carbis Bay has a reputation as one of the best beaches in England, and not surprisingly is therefore a hugely popular tourist destination in Cornwall. The beach at Carbis Bay boasts fine white sands in a sheltered bay. The Carbis Bay Hotel has a commanding position on the hill side overlooking the bay. There is a small and quaint railway station here, and parking just beside he beach.Carbis Bay beach is just one of numerous fantastic beaches in the area such as Whitesands Beach at Sennen Cove, The Beaches of Porthmeor and Porthminster in St Ives and the three miles of golden sands at Gwithian, Hayle.

Carbis Bay is about 2 miles from St. Ives (3 miles from Hayle) off the A3074.
