The North Cliffs run along the northern coast of Cornwall between Crane Islands, visible in this picture, and Hells Mouth. Behind the cliffs are the Reskajeage Downs and above Crane Islands is Crane Castle, an Iron Age Hill Fort.
The coastline here is managed by the National Trust and is part of the Southwest Coast Path between Portreath Bay and Gwithian Beach. This part of Cornwall is very popular for walking in the summer, and this point is on a popular coastal walk from Godrevy Navax Point to Basset's Cove which is about 3.7 miles long.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: The North Cliffs are found on the B3301 road between Portreath and Hayle. From Redruth take the B3300 to Protreath and then the B3301 towards Hayle. Parking available at Hells Mouth or at other points along the cliffs.
