The Queen Victoria Memorial Gardens lie in front of Buckingham Palace a the end of The Mall next to St James Park and Green Park. In the middle is the Queen Victoria Memorial, which was built by built by the sculptor Sir Thomas Brock in 1911. The 4-sided memorial has a large statue of Queen Victoria facing north-eastwards down The Mall towards Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch. On the other sides are representations of the Angels of Justice, Truth and Charity. On the top of the memorial is Victory with two seated figures. Around the memorial is a fountain and various nautical figures commemorating the naval power of England during Victorian times.
