This panorama was taken from the eastern bridge of the two bridges over the River Avon on Bridge Street in Christchurch. The picture was taken on the north side of the road, as there is no pavement here on the other side and the street is very narrow. The River Avon looks very picturesque from here. If you zoom in on the satellite view of Christchurch on the Google map, you can see just how popular the town is with sailing and boating. The rivers are full of yachts and boats at various moorings. This has greatly increased the property prices in Christchurch over recent years.

Travel and Getting There:
Take the A338 north from Bournemouth (south from Ringwood) until you come to the flyover sign posted for Christchurch and the Royal Bournemouth General Hospital. At this junction take the A3060 (Castle Lane East) east. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A35 which leads into Christchurch.
