Google Map Branksome Chine BeachPhotographer Description of Branksome Chine BeachThis was late on a very windy afternoon. The beach is popular not only for the sand and sea, but also for the Branksome Beach Restaurant which offers diners panoramic views over Poole Bay, Studland and, on a good day, the Isle of Weight. Sadly, the sun sets behind the beach rather than over the sea.Branksome Chine Beach - Further InformationBranksome Chine is the first of several chines between Sandbanks Beach and Bournemouth Beach. This panoramic picture was taken from the beach at Branksome Chine and shows the view over Bournemouth and Poole Bay. The chine is backed by a small wooded valley with a little stream running though it. There are good beach facilities with paid parking and a restaurant / cafe. Some parking is also available on the surrounding roads, and there is also another car park on Beach Road between here and Canford Cliffs. The next chine east is Alum Chine, which is in Bournemouth. A gate on the beach promenade marks the Bournemouth / Poole boundary. As can be seem in this image, even on windy days the beach is still used, in this case by wind surfers. The promenade is lined with beach huts, which are in fact a very expensive luxury and highly sought after.Travel Directions and Getting There: Comments and Reviews.
