Worcestershire

Worcestershire is a land-locked county in the West Midlands of England. To the south is the county of Gloucestershire. Moving clockwise, the other counties bordering Worcestershire are Herefordshire to the west and then Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands all touch the northern border, and Warwickshire is to the east. The main city of Worcestershire of is Worcester. Much of the county is still rural, and other notable towns include Bromsgrove, Evesham, Kidderminster, Malvern, Pershore and Redditch. Around the county are a number of historic homes, and ruins, some open to the public, and 'follies', built by the rich on their estates in the past.
