Nice is the capital of the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur) and believed to be among the oldest settlements in the world, with evidence from nearby Terra Amata dating back to the Lower Paleolithic. The Greeks established 'Nikaia' here in 350BC, named after Nike, the goddess of victory. This was later changed to Nice. It is the second most popular tourist destination in France after Paris, rich in history, full of museums and hotels.
