Beira is a region in central Portugal including Beira Alta, Beira Baixa and Beira Litoral. The main cities here include Coimbra, Aveiro, Leiria, Viseu, Castelo Branco, Guarda, Figueira da Foz and Covilhã. The Serra da Estrela mountain range is found here and it includes Portugal's highest peak, Torre in Serra de Estrela know as "The Tower". This area is included in the Serra de Estrela National Park and is a popular visitor attraction to enjoy this outdoor environment of mountains and lakes, such as here at Salgadeiras.
