Washington State - United States of America

Washington State State is on the west coast of the United States of America. East of Washington is Idaho and to the south is the state of Oregon. To the north lies British Columbia in Canada. To the west is the Atlantic Ocean. The state is named after George Washington and was admitted into the Union in 1889. The larges city in Washington State is Seattle, which is very close to the Canadian border, not far from Vancouver.
