This panorama was taken outside the London Aquarium and shows the front of the aquarium building and the view along the River Thames close to the London Eye. Just as I had finished taking the photographs needed for this panoramic picture, security guards approached to inform me that this was private land and the use of a tripod was not permitted. Health and Safety issues or something else? Sometimes I think we are far too restricted.

The London Aquarium is one of the more popular tourist attractions in London. It is famous for the vast Pacific and Atlantic tanks that cover over two floors and contain vast numbers of fish and other animals from both oceans. The Aquarium is next to the London Eye, Jubilee Park and Westminster Bridge, just across the Thames from the Palace of Westminster.
The London Aquarium is one of Europe's largest displays of aquatic life from all over the world with over 350 different species on show in over 50 displays. These include numerous sharks, lion fish, moray eels, jelly fish, lobsters, crabs, octopus and much much more.
