Panorama from an unmarked trail overlooking Point Bonita on the Marin Headlands. I wanted to get to the Point Bonita Lighthouse, but access through the tunnel was not permitted at the time. However I did manage to find a good place to take a panorama of the dramatic coastline from the top of the cliffs nearby. From here there are great views over the sea and you can watch ships approaching Golden Gate. You can just about make out the lighthouse at the end of the land spit. You can see this cliff top trail, past a radio station from Battery Mendell, on the satellite view of the San Francisco Google map.
