Panorama taken skiing down to Wengen from Allmend. The picture was taken from the approach above Wengen early in the morning after fresh snow fall. A low layer of cloud hugs the lower parts of Lauterbrunnen Valley while fresh snow covers the mountain hut roofs.

A leisurely blue run (36 - Wengen Dorf) descends from Allmend to Wengen along a track through trees. At the end the piste opens up with a view over the village, as shown in this picture. On a clear day it offers great views down the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Parallel to this is a toboggan run, which becomes a hiking trail in the summer months. The top of Männlichen (2230m) can be seen to the north at the end of the ridge.
The piste can be accessed either via the Innerwengen Chairlift or by skiing down from Wengernalp. It is part of the wider Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen ski area in the Jungfrau Region of the Bernese Alps, and it is possible to ski all the way down from the Lauberhorn chairlift near the top of the Lauberhorn via a series of red, blue or black runs. Part of the route is follwed by the Lauberhorn-Weltcup Abfahrt (Lauberhonr Worldcup Downhill)
See the Jungfrau Skiing Map for more about skiing in the region, with a breakdown of the number and types of ski lifts, ski runs and connections. It also contains an interactive piste map with various 360° panoramas taken from the various skiing areas.
